Welcome to the first iteration of VRrOOm’s social events in Virtual Reality!
We are very happy to announce the launch of VRrOOm’s new virtual events platform’s early access version with the production of the Paris NewImages Festival’s VR version in partnership with Forum des images and Manzalab Group. The NewImages festival is an event entirely dedicated to all forms of digital creation and all kinds of virtual worlds.
The event takes place in Paris from April 4 to 8, 2018. By downloading the app on Oculus store, wherever you are located, as long as you have a stable internet connection you will be able to access NewImages’ VR films competing in the official selection as well as VRrOOm’s selection of VR films. You will meet with other people’s avatars to watch VR creations together. You’ll also be able to talk with them and share your impressions inside our VR Chatroom.
For this first event, we invite the owners of Samsung S7, S8 or S9 smartphones to download the VRrOOm app on the Oculus store and to join the festival using a Samsung Gear VR headset. Our service will be extended to other formats in the near future, including Oculus, HTC and Windows platforms.
Here’s how to register in order to access the early access version of the app :
– register here by giving us your contact email, your Oculus store account email address (in case it’s not the same as your usual address), and indicate the gender you would like to allocate to your avatar.
– you’ll receive a confirmation email first, then we will send you a password, which will allow you to download the app.

Humanitarian aid has been blocked, and Sudanese journalists are banned from covering the war, facing potential imprisonment for doing so.
In collaboration with The New York Times, AJ+ and Arte, Emblematic Group and Nuba Reports presents We Who Remain, an immersive virtual reality film that takes the viewer into the heart of this forgotten conflict amid an active fighting season.
