Onward [Price: $24.99]

Though Onward is technically still in early access, the game has already gained quite a reputation for being one of the highest quality multiplayer shooter simulators we have today. The game has received 92% positive reviews across its 1,309 reviews on Steam, showing just how many users have not only played the title but have taken the time out of their day to actually review the thing.

The development team describes the title as being a “Mil-Sim paced tactical multiplayer shooter”, and that description seems to be spot on. When playing the game, users move around with their virtual avatar, and can perform many of the actions they would in a regular multiplayer shooting game like Counter Strike: Global Offensive. Whether it’s reloading your ammo in a realistic mannor or knifing someone in the back, many players describe Onward to be the premiere immersive combat experience.

The Unspoken [Price: $29.99]

The Unspoken was one of the most exciting titles we checked out at Oculus Connect 3 back in October of 2016, and the full release of the game was no different.

In the title, the player takes the place of a wizard with a variety of different spells to cast, using various motions and button controls to be both offensive and defensive towards the enemy. You can teleport to different watch-points around the beautifully detailed maps to get a better aim on your enemy, and can use the Oculus Touch controllers to create intricate spells using hand movements.

The game is a 1 v 1 battle arena, and has great real-time tracking to make sure there is fast and accurate gameplay. The title is meant to be competitive to the point of a possible e-sport, and is quite a bit of fun to attempt to master.

Battlezone was originally a title launched for Atari, but has come back in full force with the onset of virtual reality. The game takes on a fun low-poly vibe, and makes most everything into a destructible object.

The game can be played co-op or alone, so jump in your tank and get ready to blow stuff up.

Wands [Price: $5.99]

Wands is a game very similar to The Unspoken. In the title, wizards will have the ability to choose special wands and a variety of different spells which they can use to cast at their disposal. You can switch spells on the fly using the button on the Daydream controller, and can even practice in the basement are while waiting for an opponent.

There are multiple different arenas that players can compete in, and you will have the ability to cast against bots in order to gain access to new spells. While it was pretty difficult to find another player to compete against at launch, there are quite a few players with the game at this point, so you shouldn’t have to worry any longer.
