A VR Gaming Arcade Is Coming To Exeter

The future is here, as a virtual reality gaming arcade opens in Exeter city centre – complete with an immersive version of popular building-blocks game Minecraft.

Situated on 16 North Street, just off Fore Street and The High Street, Endurance VR will offer members of the public a chance immerse themselves in virtual worlds using cutting-edge tech.

And if you mess up in-game, you’ll feel a shock in real-life.

A former chef, he has always loved gaming – ut virtual reality has quickly become a ‘stepping stone’ to his new career path.

The games themselves haven’t been finalised, but the roster will definitely include Project Racer 2, Raw Data, Onward, Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality and Minecraft Gear.

One of Jay’s recommendations is the vertigo-inducing walk-the-plank experience that leaves you fighting your own mind.

To play, it costs £30 a headset for half an hour – with up to six people able to share it. The same experience costs £50 an hour.

It may be the first VR experience to come to Exeter city centre, but it isn’t the first to open in the city itself.

Dreamscape VR opened at The Stables, Matford Barton, last year and bills itself as the UK’s ‘number one’ virtual reality studio.
