Time Names Brand Guru For SI And LIFE VR

Time Inc has promoted Daniel Leonard to director of brand communications for Sports Illustrated Group and the LIFE VR virtual reality platform.
 
“The Sports Illustrated Group continues to extend its brand and give fans more content, experiences and products on more platforms than ever before, including via the recently launched Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and leading-edge Sports Illustrated Play,” said Greg Giangrande, executive vice president, chief communications officer and chief human resources officer at Time. “Danny’s innovative thinking and creative contributions have helped elevate the sports group’s many tentpoles, dynamic initiatives and passionately consumed content.”
The Sports Illustrated Group will augment the multiplatform consumer experience it currently offers when it launches an over-the-top (OTT) television network this autumn.
During his nearly six-year tenure at Time, Leonard has worked on multiple brands and businesses, including Time, Fortune, Money, the Foundry, Food & Wine and Travel + Leisure.
