Fans of westerns have pretty much been left out in the cold. I mean, sure we got stuff like Red Dead Revolver, Six Guns on mobile, and a long time before those two games we had Outlaws by LucasFilm. Other than those games, and the occasional Quake or Doom fan mod, there hasn’t been a lot of western related games. Guns ‘n’ Stories: Bulletproof looks to expand the options for fans of this genre. The kicker is, this one is for virtual reality devices such as the Oculus.
Bill, your character, is a retired headhunter that is old but young at heart. His days are mostly spent telling stories to his grandson Robby. This is the premise of Guns ‘n’ Stories: Bulletproof. You are literally playing Bill’s stories and they are not always set in truth, so be ready for the occasional exaggeration of events.
Sure, I know there are other games set in the old west (Freddy Pharkas Frontier Pharmacist anyone?) but for the most part, none have gone the route of Guns ‘n’ Stories: Bulletproof. This should be a refreshing take on the genre and hopefully the beginning of a series of games. Anyone that has listened to an elder talk about their glory days knows there is no limit on how long they can take the stories and how wild they can get. That gives me hope that Guns ‘n’ Stories: Bulletproof is given time to build off the foundation and develop into more games later.
